Epidemic Control during COVID-19 Outbreak: the University Experience, China
Abstract
Using Orders issued by Shaanxi Normal University COVID-19 Prevention and Control Headquarters over the past 38 days, this article evaluates the measures taken by the university during pandemic outbreak, and the evidence from the containment practices suggests that non-pharmaceutical public health measures supported the efficacy of recommendations the Report of the WHO-China Joint Mission on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) released by WHO on 27th February 2020 generated. Rather than solely resorting to medical means, the university provided non-pharmaceutical implementation experience for the affected countries stuck in the rampant virus.
